"Mobility for the Handicapped"
The business area "Mobility for the Handicapped"
was developed at DLOUHY with the beginning of
the 90's due to the increasing need in the segment
of wheelchair-suitable vehicles. At this time
there were the first approaches within our traditional
area of construction of ambulance vehicles to
equip our vehicles in a wheelchair-suitable
fashion. Due to the positive feedback and a
very optimistic market the decision was made
to deal with this market intensively and to
offer innovative products and solutions for
our target group.
Like in all business areas we absolutely wanted
to stick to our principles - "highest quality
for highest requirements" also in this new segment,
strategical partnerships with Europes leading
manufacturers within this range were the logical
result. (AMF-BRUNS, AUTOADAPT BEV,
JANY).
Together with our partners we began to become
acquainted systematically with the needs and
requirements of the customers in this business
field to develop and offer individual solutions
exclusively.
Due to constantly growing demand we decided
in 2004 to include self-propelling solutions
in our product range. A partnership with one
of the leading manufacturers of self-propelling
components - VEIGEL Automotive - could
be arranged in June 2004. At the same time also
an agreement about an intensive, area-wide co-operation
with CLUB MOBIL could be reached, which
was received with great pleasure by our customers.
Because of the co-operation with CLUB MOBIL
we are also able to offer comprehensive consultation
about promotions, driving licences, driving
skills courses, etc.
Due to our extensive, international co-operations
we today can offer a comprehensive product assortment
on a highest quality level. As a result of constant
training courses we are always on the latest
status of product development. Our comprehensive
product range reaches from diverse lift systems
to lowering systems for passenger cars and vans,
fold-away aluminium ramps, step treads, wheelchair
fastening systems, rotary and swiveling seats,
flexible single seat solutions and individual
self-propelling solutions.
Today we are by far the leading supplier of
wheelchair- and handicapped-suitable vehicle
rebuildings and adaptations in Austria and meanwhile
represented by 2 regional sales partners.
A detailed and personal customer service is
an essential component of our business policy.
Together with our customers we develop individual
and custom-made solutions for the respective
needs. A demonstration vehicle with integrated
lifts, ramps, wheelchair fasteners and seat
solutions helps us to present miscellaneous
variants of practical examples and supports
our customers during decision making.
Our production works according to the high quality
standards of ISO 9001 and is subject to strict
quality controls. All products offered and installed
are examined and tested after European safety
standards (TUEV, crash test, M1/M2 acceptance).
